Offline for upgrade

Mumsnet will be offline this evening (Thursday) for a major upgrade. This will start at 10pm and should be complete in about an hour.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

After the work you should hopefully see a significant performance improvement at busy times. We are making some other infrastructure upgrades too, but nothing you'll notice; it's just boring stuff to do with making the site more resilient in the face of problems.

No prizes for the first person to post "Oh no, I might have to talk to dh". And for anyone curious, your due date would be 18th June 2009.

But DH has had a vasectomy. How will I explain away the baby?

My DH is away tonight - how will I explain MY baby? Could blame it on YMT I suppose! Imagine all the child support claims!

Suddenly doesn't seem so bad that I've been up since 3am, as I won't miss out on MN if I go to bed early tonight.
