I've just been on my registration page and there was a note on there saying that you had tried to email me but the address hadn't worked. The email address is current and correct though.

Are you having problems with hotmail addresses? I don't always get the newsletters either.

I'm now wondering how many competitions I've won that I don't know about [unlikely]

I had the same thing with hotmail, but I always get the roundup. Odd.

bundle · 16/09/2008 15:03

ooh it says that on mine too - I have hotmail too and the address is definitely working

WigWamBam · 16/09/2008 15:03

I've got the same note on my registration page too, Tigs. But I get the newsletters OK ...

TigerFeet · 16/09/2008 15:09

Sometimes I get them, sometimes I don't

Tis most odd

I'm not the only one, there have been threads about it before.

I was more intrigued about the note on my registration page tbh. Thought I might have missed something interesting.

Hello,

Extract from Member Help....

**

I haven't received this weeks newsletter, what gives?
Please check your spam/junk folder as your service provider might have accidentally put it there. If this is the case please see the spam page, where you will find instructions on how to allow the newsletter into your Inbox.

So click here and hopefully this will solve your problems.

If not then we will investigate this issue further.

i got the same message tigerfeet, yet received a CAT the next day

WigWamBam · 16/09/2008 18:32

It doesn't solve the mystery of the messages in bright red writing on our registration pages though, BigTech!

TigerFeet · 17/09/2008 09:54

Thannks BigTech - but as WWB says it was morea bout the red messages on my registration page! Or is it there because the newsletters aren't getting through?

OP posts:
BigTech · 17/09/2008 10:33

The reason for the red message is that our server (mumsnet) has received an error message from the server we are trying to send the message to (hotmail).

If the message gets through this week, it will disappear.....

JustineMumsnet · 17/09/2008 11:44

BigTech's written this to explain things a little.

(Let us know if you make it through to the end )

TigerFeet · 18/09/2008 12:27

Thanks both

I made it to the end... just...

FGS, don't let the pedants see that link Justine.

Heads would roll

TigerFeet · 18/09/2008 12:55

I obviously didn't read it properly

OP posts:
JustineMumsnet · 18/09/2008 22:03

You know we always include a few deliberate mistakes for the pedants

pssst St G, email me quick!

SaintGeorge · 18/09/2008 22:14

I only skimmed through it but this sentence screamed at me:

"This means if there was problem a temporary glitch at the provider then the next one should be fine."

JustineMumsnet · 18/09/2008 22:24

Yeh yeh - that was was of our deliberate ones - well spotted.

SaintGeorge · 18/09/2008 22:25

Snort at typos in post about typos.

Obviously totally deliberate eh Justine?
