Another idea

I was wondering whether it would be possible that when you are replying to a post of you could somehow scroll through the posts. Eg if you are replying to a post that is sometimes 100+ long it's sometimes hard to remember exact details so maybe if the posts could be underneath the add a message box it would make life easier. Hope this makes some sense but I know what I mean...

Do you not have a scroll bar to the right of the window BH? I have on mine and often start to type a message and then scroll up and down to check someone else's post before finally posting mine.

Think we're with Snugs on this one ie can't you scroll up as easily as down? Sorry if we've misunderstood...

No what I mean is could you not have eg

Message box here

Then in another box underneath messages that you can scroll that are kept with a box this size but you can scroll up and down.

It's just sometimes when I post for advice and then want to thank everyone it is a bit of a chore to keep scrolling up and down. I want to be able to look at the reply and type my reply at the same time.

You want the "add message" box in a separate frame. I think.

I open a 2nd window if the thread is that long, have them side by side on screen with my text showing in one and scroll up and down the messages in the other.

I know what you mean blossomhill - I find teh same problem - it's not too bad on 'short' threads- but once it's got longer (especially if you're been away from the computer and haven't kept up) it's really awkward to have to keep scrolling up and down.
