Hi Tech,

Home Page: "but if you'd like to contribute and help mumsnet cover costs please click here" points to file:///C:/mnweb/s/mn.SubsIntro

Also, "Switch to alphabetical order" in any top level discussion area causes thread titles to be right justified (at least in my browser - Safari / OS X, both latest) instead of left.

Good luck.

Hello hub2dee,
Thanks for letting us know. I've fixed both of these - I'd never noticed the safari thing before - I use firefox on my mac. Anyway, it should all be OK now.

Regards,
Tech

I've never moved away from Safari on the Mac. IE sucks, of course, but does firefox really give you anything worth having ?

I like the way it does "find on page" - you type in a little box at the bottom and it highlights what you are looking for. Tabbed browsing is good, but I think Safari does that anyway. The RSS (really simple syndication) feature is great. If you are on a site that supports RSS, like BBC News, a little orange icon comes up bottom right. If you click it you get a special type of folder-style bookmark in your bookmarks / favourites. When you click that later, it fires out to the right a list of the latest headlines and you can just choose the one you want without having to go to the bbc news front page, or go anyhwere if there's nothing you want to read. It's good for keeping up.

I've never really used Safari much so I don't know if it's worth switching from that. I'm fairly new to macs. The ones at work have IE on them. When I got my own I put firefox on it straight away.

Might have to take it for a spin. In Tiger (next OS X) I think they are incorporating RSS feed support. Thanks for the info.

Typo in www.mumsnet.com/rev/strollers/943.html

'breaks' should be brakes.

BTW, Tech, is there some kind of e-mail for similar site bitsies, rather than posting, or would you prefer people just post ?

Send it to [email protected]. The editors see that one.

Thanks,
Tech
