..and is that the Telegraph as in the right wing pretty much anti-feminist broadsheet rag? If so I might have to stop getting it...

i was pretty appalled to see that too. then realised their money is as good as anyone else's i suppose!

Yes it was sponsored by Telegraph. They're not on our banned advertiser list and it wouldn't really have occurred to us to say no to them tbh. The Sun and The News of the World are on the list but that's on the "no porn" rule as opposed to any "They're right wing rule". We don't have one of those as we're kind of up for freedom of speech and all that and besides we've had Dave Cameron on for 2 webchats so clearly we do allow right wingers a voice. Having said that we might think a bit more carefully about having the DM as sponsors (on the women bashing front).

Out of interest, in our Mumsnet census of 2006, around 11% of Mumsnetters said they regularly read the DT in print or online and, not that this counts for much , I used to write about football and cricket for them long, long ago in my pre-MN days - they were extremely civilised to work for, I must say. Not sure they're as nice now though...

Their easy crosswords are too hard for me

Although I DO like their Gardening Sections

I read it - loathe the politics and some of the commentators, but a lot of their articles on alternative health and family and lifestyle issues (diet, activities for families etc) are very good. I don't think it is as anti-feminist as The Times, personally. Or the Daily Mail, of course.
All of the broadsheets have editorial policies/quirks/dismal columnists that are in some way or other annoying or anti-feminist. Apart from the poor old Independent, which is now just...drab.
LOL at challenging crosswords mp.

Hmm, I have serious issues with the search being sponsored by yahoo.

Oh yes.

Although it's not just here. It seems wrong that freecycle is all yahoo based. Totally wrong.
