Survey with chance to win a week in Costa Rica or a hamper and six months supply of coffee

Hi all

Well the latest survey prize is a bit different - but you can't say we don't offer variety

Kenco are giving three mumsnetters the chance to win a trip to Costa Rica staying for a week in luxury Eco-lodges. The new coffees they are launching (Rich Roast, Smooth Roast and Decaffeinated) are now made with beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified? farms and the winners will visit these coffee growing communities and learn more about how the programme benefits people and the environment. They'd also be asked to report back on the experience.

It's strictly for mums only (ie no partners or children allowed ) and there's a set week for travel - w/c Nov 9th - but they are offering financial help with childcare and you would be travelling with two other mumsnetters.

If this doesn't appeal there are also 10 luxury coffee hampers and six months supply of Kenco coffee so do please still fill in the survey.

For a chance to win the trip or the coffee hamper you have to be a UK mum, over 21 and a coffee drinker.

here's the survey

Good luck

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 17:49

tis only one entry per household

Twiglett · 09/09/2008 17:49

hah .. if you said no to 'buying eco-products' you're farked

(yeah, like anyone reads the answers until they need something for a publicity .. it's first one out the hat mateys)

DisasterArea · 09/09/2008 17:50

yup. am eco-friendly too.
its mine i tell ya. all mine

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 17:50

I buy eco products

especially coffee!

Twiglett · 09/09/2008 17:50

I am now wondering how much they think is 6 months supply of coffee ...

DisasterArea · 09/09/2008 17:53

will send you all a postcard

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 17:56

twig, they should be very pleased then that I ticked the 'trip please box'.

would bankrupt them keeping me in my usual upply of coffee for 6mths

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 17:57

upply

Flamesparrow · 09/09/2008 18:02

filthymindedvixen · 09/09/2008 18:03

me too

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 18:05

what button did you press then????

Flamesparrow · 09/09/2008 18:06

I thought I could select both the trip and the coffee draw, so it did just the coffee as that was the last one i pressed I can sod off in November

wannaBe · 09/09/2008 18:08

.

Actually on reflection it is a bit of a pants prize isn't it? In fact it's not really a prize at all is it - it's a way for them to shoot an advert without having to pay an expensive agency/models/actors/actresses to do it. and the prize for the three (lucky?) winners is a part in a social experiment/reality tv type experience which will be a combination of big brother/castaway/im a celeb. am glad I said no to the trip.

I wonder if mnhq have a hand in the choosing of the winners and whether they've been paid to make it particularly interesting by putting three opposites together? .

Twig they don't have to read through all the answers to weed out particular ones - it's a computer survey so all they have to do is to generate a report on the database of answers to get the ones they want to enter into the selection process.

Twiglett · 09/09/2008 18:13

you can't go back to the survey or Ts & Cs once you've entered (at least I can't) .. that's odd

ChippyMinton · 09/09/2008 18:15

try this link twig

wannaBe · 09/09/2008 18:15

that's because it leaves something in your registry that essentially notifies the site that you've been there before..

Twiglett · 09/09/2008 18:18

I'm now interested in who's going to win

Flamesparrow · 09/09/2008 18:25

Good point!

Yay for coffee option

psychomum5 · 09/09/2008 18:27

hell no, a week away, in my own room, with wine (well, wine was not said to be included, but it better be), I am on the plane or stowing in someones case!!!

Filthymindedvixen - if you want to enter for the trip you just have to do the survey again and click on the box that lets you enter (and fill in your 50 words) - we will then cancel your first entry

Everyone who enters the comp for the trip is also automatically entered into the six months supply of coffee comp...so don't worry about that.

Kenco are choosing the winners from the comments in the box thing alone - nothing to do with MNHQ (tho am liking the way you think wannabe ) and think plan is to whittle it down to about 5 and interview them by phone to get to 3 so not so much looks as personality that counts and there's no shortage of personalities on Mumsnet

They do want winners to be sort of ambassadors for what they are doing - maybe blog about it, have some pics take while there, but it's up to them to impress you I suppose - they can't dictate what you say.

Hope that answers some of queries/concerns...Good luck to all
