Survey with chance to win a week in Costa Rica or a hamper and six months supply of coffee

Hi all

Well the latest survey prize is a bit different - but you can't say we don't offer variety

Kenco are giving three mumsnetters the chance to win a trip to Costa Rica staying for a week in luxury Eco-lodges. The new coffees they are launching (Rich Roast, Smooth Roast and Decaffeinated) are now made with beans sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified? farms and the winners will visit these coffee growing communities and learn more about how the programme benefits people and the environment. They'd also be asked to report back on the experience.

It's strictly for mums only (ie no partners or children allowed ) and there's a set week for travel - w/c Nov 9th - but they are offering financial help with childcare and you would be travelling with two other mumsnetters.

If this doesn't appeal there are also 10 luxury coffee hampers and six months supply of Kenco coffee so do please still fill in the survey.

For a chance to win the trip or the coffee hamper you have to be a UK mum, over 21 and a coffee drinker.

here's the survey

Good luck

Is anyone worried about no longer being anonymous if they win the trip?

Just wondering, as I am debating whether or not to enter. I would love to go, but I can just think of lots of complicating factors.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/09/2008 08:27

Bumper that never crossed my mind.

eek

But I shan't win anyway

Bumperlicious · 13/09/2008 08:37

I think it's a moot point for me, as I just read that you actually have to be a coffee drinker to enter...how much of a coffee drinker do you think you really have to be...could I fake it?

BCNS · 13/09/2008 15:08

I'm in.. my MN name says it all.. I am a chilled out nice person to be round ladies

I actually wouldn't mind being outed for this trip. I mean to get to see the impact etc of coffee growers communities.. blah blah blah..

I'll stop talking now..

CostaRicanCod · 13/09/2008 15:10

i think if i went , when they were filming id say " yes its beutiful in cunting Costa rice" ]

thus rendering tape invalid

CostaRicanCod · 13/09/2008 15:10

rice?
rica fgs

noddyholder · 13/09/2008 16:32

god if i win do i have to go with 2 of you lot!?!"?!?

MABS · 13/09/2008 17:51

i've entered too Noddy.did anyone see when draw is made?

Cammelia · 13/09/2008 18:30

Noddy, Mabs, Custy

MrsWeasley · 13/09/2008 20:06

6 months supply of coffee Is that 6 months of the average drinker or 6 months supply as normal for the winner?

I drink A LOT of coffee. A normal person's 6 months supply would only last me 3 months I reckon.

all this thinking off coffee off to pop the kettle on again

Nemoandthefishes · 14/09/2008 12:36

aww so want to enter but I cant as dd1 has an op booked for nov 12th and is my wedding anniversary on the 10th

filthymindedvixen · 14/09/2008 16:43

Even if I 'win' I am likely to be rejected at the interview stage. Perhaps I should have gone for the hamper after all?

MrsJohnCusack · 15/09/2008 00:00

god this is fab
when is this Mumsnet Costa Rican reality show happening then? When are the winners going to be announced? I CANNOT miss who it is

I'd enter but somehow don't think they'll pay my fares from here

Monkeytrousers · 15/09/2008 00:46

Where are you Mars?

Monkeytrousers · 15/09/2008 00:47

or San Jose?

MrsJohnCusack · 15/09/2008 01:59

NZ
survey UK only as per usual grrrrrr

carriemumsnet · 15/09/2008 19:24

Sorry MrsJohnCusack - we do try but so many of the comp folks stipulate UK only entrants - apparently in some instances it's to do with competition law being different in different countries.. or so they tell me..

Anyways, we've now got over 500 responses to the survey and around 200 gunning for the three trips to Costa Rica.

Just a reminder that you don't have to be keen to leave kith and kin behind and head for the rainforest in order to take part in the survey. All you need to be is a coffee drinker and you could be up for winning a luxury hamper and six months supply of coffee.

The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete so please put down your mug of decaff and fill it in now

Monkeytrousers · 16/09/2008 10:13

I'm not. Never ever happens. I'd love a chance to escape from my miserable and earstwhile (d)p - tho will miss ds like mad - it would so me the world of good - that and never having had a real holidat in 30 years

Is it not a 1 in 66.6666 chance if there is 3 places or is my maths just rubbish???!!
monkeytrousers - think positive, it has to happen to someone and that someone could be you!

serenity · 17/09/2008 16:11

I'd love to have said yes to the trip, but logistically it would have been a nightmare Plus as it involves interviews I doubt I'd qualify as a face of MN/Kenco Never mind, I'll get some vicarious pleasure out of whoever does win.
