This is bound to have been explained before, but what do the threads always at the top of the list with a little square 'M' next to them mean?

I'm guessing they're ones that need or want to be bumped to the top all the time? Who puts them there?

they're called "stickies" and MNHQ put them there so they are always at the top.

I think it kind of defeats the point of them as I tend to tune them out.

You can have "don't allow stickies" in your preferences I think.

Mumsnet. Hence the M

They're stickies - stuck to the top of the board always

TsarChasm · 06/09/2008 19:51

Yes, I sort of mentally don't seem to notice them now either because they stay the same for a while I guess.

How does MN towers decide which threads it puts a sticky on?

pass.

things that they want us all to see, obviously, but how exactly they decide what should be sticky and what's not, I dunno

TsarChasm · 06/09/2008 20:05

Lol I don't think I am seeing them cos I'm tuning them out subconciously like you Squonk.

Must pay more attention in class .
