Sixth key in from the right, second row down. Just above End key (which you can use to go down)

jangly · 17/02/2005 22:15

That was to Makealist (in case you think I've gone puggled)

jabberwocky · 17/02/2005 22:17

I second on dropping the 'dear'. I always feel a bit like June Cleaver with that.

jangly · 17/02/2005 22:17

I thought it was 'Darling' son\daughter - not just dear!

Those with lots of children are going to end up with posts that look like a chess conundrum - d7, s4, d2, s9

It is a good idea tho, Cod, I think.

I have an s1.8, then? Is that right?

hatsoff · 17/02/2005 22:20

I think their position is relevant - but the current system doesn't allow that where you have two sexes. eg dd1 could actually be your fourth child. dd1 (4/4)(3) would work - ie first dd, fourth child of four; three years old. But I think it's too ambitious!

jangly · 17/02/2005 22:20

Is that slash round the wrong way? Darling son/daughter. Yes it was.

jangly · 17/02/2005 22:21

Oh sorry. Do carry on.

makealist · 17/02/2005 23:59

Thanks jangly.... who would of guessed that the home key had "home" written on it

milge · 18/02/2005 00:02

What about those of us with twins??? with only a minute between them?? Could be a little confusing if i put d2.4m(10.34am) and s2.4m(10.35am) in each post.

Twiglett · 18/02/2005 02:29

I like the D (for dear or darling or devil or devious or delicious or dratted)

I like the numbers too signifying where in the pecking order they lie too

I also thought the given was DD2(9) or DS(4) with the numbers in brackets denoting age

prrrbbbbttttt to the lot of ya

I dunno you and your new-fangled ideas, you'll be throwing out the baby with the bathwater next

jangly · 18/02/2005 14:33

Yes, you'd definitely need the brackets. Other websites do the DD2 thingy. Anyone might be surprised at, say, DS16.

jangly · 18/02/2005 14:34

and then be too polite to mention it!!
