Why isn't there a "Challenging Behaviour" topic?

Am I the only person who thinks we need one?

Isn't it all challenging though?

LynetteScavo · 15/08/2008 18:41

My DS's have been particularly challenging today.

Not the same as normal behaviour/development stuff.

would people use it other than behaviour tho?

and would we need sub-boards of 'Little bit challenging' 'Moderatly challenging' and 'Off tha farking wall'?

Isn't challengiong behaviour part of the 'normal' run of things for most kids at some point in their childhood?

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 15/08/2008 18:52

I call it 'cranking the cogs'

MadameCastafiore · 15/08/2008 18:53

Would it just be for DCs or DHs as well?

LynetteScavo · 15/08/2008 19:08

The sub-boards sound good to me, MP, but today I would be posting on the "Off the farking wall" board.

we would need bouncing-off-the-ceiling-it-is-a-full-moon topic too in that case

twentypence · 15/08/2008 19:26

There is a behaviour/development section, and as most of the answers are of the "my 4 year old was like this and now she is 6 she isn't" variety, so I don't think we need another section.

LynetteScavo · 15/08/2008 20:38

But that's my point twenty pence.

We are way out of the "Shouldn't my DD be crwling by now>" league.

My Ds's behaviour has been so bloody awful today, I don't think I'd get any replies anyway. I probably need a whole different site.

Sorry to hear that, Lynette. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. Are you sure we can't help?

LynetteScavo · 16/08/2008 19:20

Thanks Janni - I had a better day.

I still think we need a challenging behaviour thread though.

My 5 yo stabbing my 9yo,(with a wooden knife which was a gift from Granny and my 9 yo strangling my 5yo so he can't breath is hardly in the same league as.
this
Sigh.

I think our ds's are cut from the same cloth Lynette. I understand what you mean by 'challenging behaviour' which is not the ' it's a phase' variety.

Nagapie · 16/08/2008 19:38

Perhaps if your wish isn't mn command perhaps the thing to start is an ongoing thread .... a witty name and some regulars...

Though personally, if there can be a separate topic for chicken keepers ....
