Why is it that whenever I post, I get double line spacing in my posts? it doesn't look like this on my pc til I press create conversation?

Sod's law it won't do it this time.

Is it only when you use emoticons?

No- it's all the time. and if I keep writing enough then you might see what happens- some people's do and some don't. Most don't .

Are you pressing return when you get to the end of the line

Well, that didn't work... so doubt it can be that! Shout if it is still a problem and we will ask Tech to investigate.

Yes it is still a problem, and no, I am not pressing return- on my screen it looks like single spacing.
