Why are blatant advertising threads allowed to stand?

I have reported two threads on the Christmas board because a new MN account is very clearly advertising their own business including their web address. This was reported at about 7.30 this morning but still stands.
I have had one of my posts deleted from the thread but the thread itself still stands.
Is random advertising on threads (but dishonestly pretending to be a recommendation) now allowed?

MNHQ are usually pretty swift to delete advertising/research/marketing threads, so not quite sure what happened today.

I reported too! So I’m glad to see it’s now gone.
