Please could you leave the Username when someone quotes a deleted message.

It makes it very hard for me to update my spreadsheet if there's multiple deleted messages on a thread.

And it's quite tautologious, which is never a good look.

The MN spread sheet of old was quite something at the time.

I don’t know why you need to see it on the reply though. Because the deleted comment does have the user name on it where it is deleted, why does it matter if you see which deleted comment is the one that was replied to?

Because sometimes things get deleted for reasons that don’t make the poster a baddie. So if no one is quoting/responding it’s possible the poster got caught out by something like using the wrong word (I’m thinking of the days when using “peak” on feminism could get you deleted, which happened to me once, there are similar things now). It is hard to follow threads when multiple people are deleted and multiple people quote one abhorrent post and you can guess it was something bad but you don’t know who said it.
