Closing Images

After an image is opened the only way to close it is to hit the X in the top right corner. This is sometimes invisible depending on the image colour.

My request is can the mobile device back button be enabled to exit opened images.
Also an opened image is often displayed the same size as in the actual post and pinch to zoom does not work.

Same issue on iPhone. No back button to click here. I have to faff trying to click the X several times. Would be easier if we could swipe in a direction to close it.

Also I use the app on my iPad, sometimes in portrait orientation - I don’t see an x at all on images, it’s not obvious how to get out of them.
