Brief weird thing

Just thought I’d report this even though it was brief.

Just opened up the app and at the top the trending button was flashing red. I clicked on it and it took me to a spam page. I clicked ‘x’ and went back to the app but it’s not doing it now.

virus alert masquerading as a MN private message

Sorry, it was on my phone first thing this morning (which I don't often use for MN) - it's gone now.

There was a new-looking icon bar across the top and the "private message" icon it was flashing red. MN do have previous for introducing unwanted changes without notice so it was hard to tell if it was just another one of those.

I had exactly the same yesterday 👍🏻

often these will be picked up by our ad quality partner in a short time, hoping it has been blocked automatically. But if you see it please screenshot and send 👍 we’ll make sure it stays gone.
