Editing issues

If I make a first post on a thread and try to edit before posting it I loose the whole thing. Thats been going on for a while

Today I’ve found I can’t edit at all and get a message saying no post. iPhone if relevant

also would love automatic capitalisation on new paras please

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry this is happening, it sounds really frustrating.

Could you let us know the following?

  • Which version of the app you're currently using. You can find this by opening the app and selecting the profile menu in the top right hand corner of the screen. The app version will be listed at the bottom of the menu.
  • A screenshot of the "No post" message you mentioned. If you're able to, a screen recording showing you writing your post and then trying to edit it would be even more helpful. You can send this to us at [email protected].

Regarding your feedback about paragraphs, unfortunately this isn't something we're able to fix ourselves, as it's controlled by the text editor we use, which is a third-party tool. We've already raised this with them, and we know that other sites using the same editor have requested the same improvement. If they make any changes, we'll be sure to let you know.
