Changing name

How do I change my name for a particular thread I want to start. Google is not helping.

Go into settings

As the other users have mentioned, you can create a new username by visiting your settings. You can access your settings at any time by selecting the profile menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen, then clicking Settings.
