I live in China during the school year. MN is the only site where I can talk to/read about other people and major world events that’s not banned over there (thank you). I’m in the UK right now but going back tomorrow. About a week before I left China, cloudflare had gone totally mad, reverifying every 2-3 clicks and making it impossible to use the site because it got stuck on verifying for up to 10 minutes, and it also did it every time the site crashed/reloaded.
I’d like to know if the site will be more usable for me via the app? A VPN also upsets Cloudflare btw (but also doesn’t work on mobile data and I mainly use MN while out to fill time).
If the app doesn’t have the same cloudflare issue, I will sign up for premium membership to get rid of ads. If not I’ll not bother as I won’t be able to use MN much in the coming year.
