Error message when trying to change anything on the Settings> Talk Settings page

I'm trying to make changes to some settings under my profile > Settings > Talk Settings and I keep getting an error message that says my settings can't be saved. I'm using the website, not the app, and have tried in both Safari and Chrome for MacBook and I have tried most of the settings in the page including ones I don't want to change and I still get the same error. Is the save function on this page just broken?

Hi @formigas,

Sorry that you’re having this issue! We’re going to take a look into it.

I know you mentioned that you tried changing some of your other settings and you still got an error, but could you please let us know which settings you were originally trying to change?

Thanks!

Hi @AmeliaPMumsnet . I was trying to change "Block Private Messages" to Yes and "Automatically Watch Threads I post on" to No. I tried them together and then individually. I've just tried the first one again and am still getting the error message.

Thanks for confirming and sorry you're still seeing the error. We're taking a look into it and I'll come back to you when we have an update.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi @formigas ,

Thanks again for your patience. We found what's causing your issue and we had to change your OP post colour to resolve it. We're sorry about that! You should now be able to update your settings without getting any errors.

Let us know if anything looks amiss. Thanks!

@AmeliaPMumsnet thanks very much, I can confirm I'm able to change settings successfully now.

It seems a bit weird that changing the OP post colour fixed it (I'm a former web programmer so am interested). Was a bug introduced when the changes to the site colours/stylesheet came in a while back?

Exactly that. Appreciate you flagging so we could catch it and update so nobody else experiences the same issue.

Thanks again!
