Yet another thread on pensions in AIBU.
Can you tell me why a thread ripping into pensioners as the 'me, me, me' generation has been allowed to stand yet my response calling the poster spiteful breaks MN guidelines?
Just curious. I know pensioners are fair game on MN but this seems a bit blatent.

People are allowed to discuss their views on pensions and people are allowed to have different views than you.
It’s not ageism to discuss pensions more than any other topic, that’s completely ridiculous.

Because yours was a personal attack and theirs wasn’t? The former being against talk guidelines.

Hi @Katypp the thread you’re referring to is discussing pensions/generational fairness and we don't consider that ageism. Your post was removed because calling another poster “spiteful” crosses into personal attack territory.
We’re not treating pensioners as fair game but we also won’t remove every blunt or unpopular view about pensions as that would be pretty unworkable.

Thanks.
