Can we have a Wanker's Corner?

Hello.

It's been noted in the past that there are some pretentious wankers amongst us who like to discuss some general subjects (eg.Porn, Religion) in a fairly, erm.. academic manner, and that this sometimes seems to intimidate and/or infuriate other posters.

There doesn't seem to be an easy solution to this problem: there's no doubt that people really do feel intimidated and that it might prevent them from posting on a subject that concerns them. It also must feel hijack-y at times.

At the same time, it's hard for the Wanker's to be told that they mustn't post anything that might intimidate.

Would it be possible to have a special place, with very hard chairs to keep us awake, that we may call our own?

There were a few hippies around -- and certainly plenty of Germans.

onebatmother · 07/08/2008 22:25

but is it
alan johnson
ed balls
or john denham?

I'm agog..

you are clearly a bad lady btw

Threadwworm · 07/08/2008 22:28

The amazingly unAdonislike Andrew Adonis. (I did know him but I was never bad.)

Threadwworm · 07/08/2008 22:36

Oh, onebat, HUGE congratulations on passing!!

onebatmother · 07/08/2008 22:37

of course!

Damn, I was so hoping you had a secret pash on AJ (and his little helper)

Threadwworm · 07/08/2008 22:38

Yuk. That is a slimey man.

Swedes · 08/08/2008 10:43

The Germans in Greece with their incy trunks and taut pot-bellies. They don't do SPF, not even in low numbers; their aim is deep mahogany.

Threadwworm · 08/08/2008 11:27

There is a nudist beach at the far end of Plakias Bay, and last time we went I saw a German with a horribly sunburnt ... willy. A hideous sight.

Swedes · 08/08/2008 11:45

Threadworm - at sunburnt willy (was it small even when swollen ?)

I trust it was a maiden and fully clothed visit to the nudist beach, in the interests of philosophy? I am reminded of Voltaire's reply when invited to a second orgy by the Marquis of Sade: "Once was philosophy, twice would be perversion." I am horribly disturbed a bit worried by "last time we went..."

Threadwworm · 08/08/2008 11:55

Ah, I meant last time we went to Plakias.

The nudist beach was one we passed through several times in the course of walks. It was not our intended destination (-- but I did shed my bikini on one occasion, after checking with DSs that they had no objection, and found it rather pleasant I must say).

I was astounded by the number of glabrous ladies, looking like giant toddlers. Why oh why do women do that?

Threadwworm · 08/08/2008 12:08

Og god perhaps I shouldn't have admitted that. I shed the bikini in the same spirit that I held a live crab that a Greek man offered me -- a spirit of exploring novelty and overcoming timidity.

Swedes · 08/08/2008 12:10

Threadworm - You are full of surprises. The giant toddler thing is weird and horrible. If I went naked in Plakias I fear the whole of Crete would be singing ZZ top songs

Cammelia · 08/08/2008 13:38

Its all coming out now

Swedes · 08/08/2008 13:41

Disclaimer: Whilst I may be a little unkempt I'd like to make it clear that I have no ginger hair whatsover, nope, none.

onebatmother · 08/08/2008 17:40

I must contradict Swedes: she's extremely kempt. beard neatly clipped to a discreet, Pan-like goatee, for the warmer months.

I'm impressed with your foray into H&E territory, Threadworm. Did you play beach-ball, I wonder?

OP posts:
onebatmother · 08/08/2008 17:42

Threadworm my hat is off to 'glabrous'.

OP posts:
Swedes · 08/08/2008 18:04

Threadworm is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. I just didn't have her down as the naked volley ball type

onebatmother · 08/08/2008 18:30

Don't panic Swedes. I am certain she keeps her stout walking boots on during play.

OP posts:
Threadwworm · 08/08/2008 21:14

Just your hat, onebat? Come on, get with the programme.

Swedes you are right -- I was wrapped in a mystery, just for protection from the wind and from Greek men with crabs.

onebatmother · 08/08/2008 21:17

Hols are always over so quickly, aren't they - one really wants to wring the very last drop of fun from the experience..

OP posts:
onebatmother · 08/08/2008 21:22

hahahaaa! Threadie, at whole post.

You've not factored in the size of my hat, though. To continue the holiday theme, it is a large sombrero which covers my diminutive frame from head to foot.

ah yes, greek men with crabs. or bearing any similar 'gifts'.

Threadwworm · 08/08/2008 21:54

Seriously, though, I fear it is so incongruous with what you know of me that you might think I am fibbing. I did actually have a little nude sunbathe. Most of Plakias Bay is optional-topless, so it didn't seem too extreme to just go naked for a while in the little nudist corner -- which was full of quite nomal people and very relaxed, etc. I was among strangers in a far-off land, so felt nearly as free from the usual straits as on MN.

onebatmother · 08/08/2008 21:57

I've been a Nudie Judy too, many times, before things went downhill.

but Crikey threadie doesn't your bottom get stuck to the computer chair if you MN sans culottes?

OP posts:
Swedes · 08/08/2008 22:13

I'm looking at the screen through the cracks in my fingers.

onebatmother · 08/08/2008 22:18

whereas Threadie may well be looking at the screen through the cr... etc.
