What happened to the ‘looking at DHs phone/work disciplinary’ thread?

I was invested in this and now I cannot find the third thread. Was the lady ok?

If you read the last few posts of the second thread. It was taken down by Mumsnet for discrepancies.

Some things in op's post history didnt add up so it was taken down.

Wasn't the third thread started under a different username which caused questions to be raised?

So was the whole thing fake?! How could someone do that

@bolognazey- lots of threads on here are total fabrications/fantasy. I didn’t see that particular thread, but it’s best to take most things with a pinch of salt. The ones that run to several threads should definitely be viewed with caution. I have no idea why people do it.

The third thread was posted under a different username, presumably accidentally, and the same username had posted a thread about eating jam and toast and that her husband was lovely a few days before. Which didn't stack up with the story! It was taken down pretty quick so guess it was a troll. On reading the threads back it was a bit dubious in how it escalated. The sex chair should have tipped us off, to be fair.

Maybe I’m a cynic but I always assume things are made up or embellished but am happy to play along. Best not to get emotionally invested.

I know it can be hard for people who have been through similar though to feel it’s a con
Maybe MN should have a fiction board where people can post their made up stuff and people join in understanding the spirit

People on here have faked cancer before. Lots of the threads are made up, especially the ones with thread 2, 3, 4 etc. I’m surprised people are still naive to this.

Yes i'd had my doubts but the sex chair was just the final straw.
I reported the thread at that point but the thread stood anyway. I just stopped engaging with it.
As you say it's the ones that escalate really really quickly that often turn out to be fake.
It's so annoying when pp are really sympathetic and want to help the OP but are just being made fools of

The sex chair was off (guerrilla marketing?) but the thing that showed it wasn’t real was the passivity and just dump some ‘facts’ and leave it there showing no reaction themselves It was like a write your own adventure tbh!
