What's this Group business

For my sins, I'm on the Archers thread. There's a new thing saying "this thread is part of a group."

What's all that about then?

Just means there are lots of ling running threads grouped together

Well what's the point in doing that? We know!

Hi there @BeatriceBatchelor. This is something we're just trialling at the moment. We hope it might make some of these mini communities easier for MNers to find and follow. Rather than dozens of spin-off or continuation threads living loosely within a broader topic, these discussions might have a clearer and more permanent home within the structure of the boards. As we say, we're just seeing how it works out for now but all feedback is welcome.

I find it very offputting. I'll probably go on using the Archers thread because, but I've avoided opening any thread on the books board that is described as being part of a group. I prefer to make my own mind up as to what I get joined to.

I've got it too.

How does it make things easier @HebeMumsnet ? I can't work out how to find groups or see all the threads in a group. Am I missing some functionality that makes it a useful feature?
