Why am I having to verify I am a human?

Over the last couple of weeks every time I try to go to ‘Chat’ or ‘Relationships’ I am asked if I am a human. Why is this happening? It doesn’t do it with AIBU. I have cleared website data and history and it is still doing it. Any suggestions how to get it to stop?

It happens to me all the time, and when tick the box to say I am indeed a human, it cycles back all over again in an endless loop and gets precisely nowhere. The only way I've been able to get on MN for weeks is via links on email notifications about thread updates.

Hi there @MyFavouriteDaughter. This is most likely our security system asking for an extra check because of location/network signals, rather than anything wrong with your account. It can happen more often if you’re outside the UK. If that's the case, unfortunately there isn't lots you can do about it but if it continues, let us know, maybe by hitting the report button on one of your posts here, and we can have a chat and see if we can find any work arounds.

Thanks @KellyMumsnet but why has this only just started? I have been out of the UK since MN launched and never had problems. Why doesn’t it do it with AIBU? I pay to get rid of the Ads and now this is making the site really annoying to use.
