Error codes everywhere?

BillieWiper · Yesterday 14:04

I'm getting 400 error codes for every page of MN unless I switch to incognito.

This after the debacle that lasted about two weeks recently...What's going on?

I was getting the same last night and this morning but I've deleted cookies, cleared my cache etc which seems to have helped.

RaraRachael · Yesterday 14:15

I had this last week. I was advised to "clear my cache" but had no idea what that meant and it seems to have sorted itself out.

LilyMumsnet · Yesterday 17:46

Hi OP

Please can you clear your cache for Mumsnet? This tends to sort it right away. Let us know if you need instructions.

Tellmetomorrow57 · Yesterday 17:47

I had the same and had to clear my cache.

JustAMiddleAgedDirtBagBaby · Today 07:14

Having cleared my cache yesterday I'm now getting the same thing this morning. Do we just have to clear the cache every time we want to look at Mumsnet now?

@LilyMumsnet I feel like an idiot but yes please. I know I should be able to do this! But I've done a hard clear cache of all my websites, problem's returned, I don't really want to do that again, and I can't figure out how to clear the cache from one domain within Chrome especially when I can't open it outside of incognito.

Seeline · Today 08:17

@LilyMumsnet this doesn't work. I must have cleared my cache, browsing history and files/images 5 or 6 times yesterday. It allowed me to access my active list but as soon as I clicked on a thread, it was back to the 400 error.
This isn't good enough

Happened to me 2 days ago and today, only on MN, Chrome. Cleared cache/cookies for last hour which worked for me but this does seem to be a widespread issue.

Pemba · Today 14:27

I am getting this on my android phone. I would look on Mumsnet a LOT throughout the day, but now it only works on the first page or 2 and then I get the 400 bad gateway message. Mumsnet has become unusable on my phone (I'm on my laptop right now). I am reduced to looking on Reddit. Help!

Other popular websites don't seem to get these problems?

ManufacturedConcerns · Today 14:30

Clearing cache only worked for me when I cleared the last 7 days data. Not just 15mins/hour.

Pemba · Today 14:31

Users shouldn't have frequently clear their cache (which I am not sure how to do anyway). I see pps are saying it's only a temporary fix anyway.

This is ridiculous. Please sort it, Mumsnet HQ!

Logika · Today 14:31

yup I cleared cache again and it's still there.

MoltenLasagne · Today 14:33

Same, I"ve cleared my cache about 5 times in the last hour. I can click on one link, but not the next before getting a 400 bad request. Only MN impacted too.

Ubugly · Today 14:36

I access mumsnet via The FB link and have had errors since yesterday but have just uninstalled the fb app and reinstalled and it seems to be working properly now.

Thanks but I've done that and it doesn't work. It's clearly from your side as it's happening to multiple people.

Exactly what I was going to say. I have the same problem. Obviously if it's suddenly happening to lots of us it MUST be Mumsnet, not a sudden rash of individuals with the same problem!

What I've been getting - on my phone only (not on the app, I don't have the app) I can open Mumsnet the first time, then get a 400 or a 404 when I try to open any page. Then I leave it for a couple of hours and I can open it again the first time and then the 400/404s start up again. I cleared my cache! No difference.

It was slightly different a couple of days ago but this is the pattern it's settled into. Perfectly fine on my laptop, which, again, seems to be the same for everyone who's complaining. So it's got to be Mumsnet, not us, surely?
Argh!

JC89 · Today 20:11

Clearing the cache works for me but only temporarily - I've done it a few times today and yesterday!

Uricon2 · Today 20:13

Many, many clearances today and have had to go incognito. Big issue @MNHQ
