Why do closed threads still appear in the trending list?

Why is a thread still in trending if it is no longer accepting new messages?

I think Trending goes off number of views

Hi @LouuLou

Thanks for asking about this. TyneTeas is right - the Trending box shows the threads that have the most views at that time, so it's possible for a thread to have reached its maximum number of posts but still be showing in the Trending box as people are still viewing the thread.
