Just that - all your links to active are broken.

Not being smug, but mine are fine.

Hmm weird. I assumed it was part of the big homepage redesign where the homepage effectively becomes active discussions with interpolated sponsored posts/sponsored content/generic ads.

I cant get threads im on.
But I've wasted less time today! 🤣

Kangarude · 24/04/2026 20:43

I had been having the same problem with Active since yesterday. There is a thread in site stuff where MNHQ advised clearing your cache and that has worked for me

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 24/04/2026 21:04

Mind you, all the shortcuts to threads disappeared for me about six weeks ago.
I'd been using Chrome on my Android phone.

Someone recommended downloading the B R A V E browser, which I did.
It's brilliant. Apart from anything else, it blocks absolutely all the ads which blight this site.

I dislike ads like most of us - but how is the site and the 100+ workforce to be funded without them?

@mnhq is there a response to this? I'm on Chrome and all of the links to Active from within Talk are broken - you have to click on the homepage and go from there and it's a right PITA.

@mnhq doesn't exist.

Have you tried downloading a different browser? I downloaded Brave when I had the problem you're experiencing. I haven't had any difficulty since then.

My active was broken end of last week but started working Sunday I think...

Hi there @thestudio .

This has been affectiing a few users. It sounds like some browsers cached a redirect they shouldn’t have at some point recently.

Clearing the cache for Mumsnet should fix the issue, however. For Chrome, could you try the following?

  • Close all other open tabs.
  • Go to mumsnet.com
  • Click the padlock icon next to the URL
  • Click “Site settings” → “Clear data”
(If you don’t see that option, Chrome sometimes only allows clearing all browsing data: Menu (⋮) → Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data.)

You do need to clear the cache, not just cookies but only for Mumsnet at least.

saraclara · 06/05/2026 10:02

Yep, I couldn't get on here at all, earlier. But clearing the cache worked.

thestudio · 06/05/2026 10:22

Yes, worked for me, thanks @KellyMumsnet
