Bits of people’s posts missing?

Probably missed a discussion on this but anyone else find bits of people’s posts missing? Just stoping in mid sentence? Sometimes it’s on thread title on page too.

Also if I use a full stop and then start a new paragraph it doesn’t automatically capitalise the first letter of the new paragraph’s first word.

Seems a bit rubbish

I’m on the iOS app. I updated to the new app very late on so on the one hand this might have been discussed ages ago. But on the other it’s still happening.

Hi @tobee - thanks for flagging this. Are you able to post a screenshot so we can see what's going on? And has this just started since you updated the iOS app?

I will when I come across it again! The bit I last saw and prompted me to start the thread seemed to have corrected when I looked again last night. I’m checking I have the app updated.

If it helps @KellyMumsnet this started happening to me after I increased the standard font size in my iPhone accessibility settings. Works perfectly on everything except the MN app.

On that note, if anyone seeing this issue could tell us what version of the app they're using that would be really helpful. You can find that by opening the app, then opening the profile menu in the top right hand corner. You'll then be able to see the version number at the bottom of the menu. If you could share that with us here that would be great. Thanks!

Incidentally, while I’m here, when I start a new paragraph, the default seems to start the first word with a lower case.

Yeah I get this too. Like the poster’s sentence has run off the edge of the page. It seems really random when it happens too.

I’m another one who gets cut-off sentences.

and new paragraphs starting with lower case letters. Mid-paragraph puts in upper case for new sentences, though.

also using the app, on an iPhone.

Seems to happen quite often for me too. App version 45.2.1. Happens on iPhone and iPad. Often happens at the end of a post.

i got the update when you released it but I’ve just seen it happen again, see screenshot. I really thought it was just me because I’d adjusted the font size my phone shows but it’s only very occasionally I see it so I don’t know.

I’ve just updated the app and now found this; page of active threads but title missing. Then I opened it and closed it and the title was there. Here is a screenshot of the active posts with a title missing. 4th one down under “The royal family” topic for clarity @BeckyAMumsnet or any @ Mumsnet HQ person.

Yesss @tobee I’m getting this too now! I just came to Site Stuff to post about it and thought I’d quickly check for a reply on this thread first, when lo and behold, you had posted about the same thing!

It’s still happening on many threads I’ve seen.
