Why is this 10 year old thread appearing in my TIO? There are no new posts on it.

Probably someone trolling posted on the thread, MNHQ will have deleted it, but also 'disappeared' the trolling post, so it looks like no-one has posted on it since the last post.

I see. I can imagine that the subject could attract trolls, but it is interesting and I’m tempted to resurrect it myself to ask whether there’s been any development.

And I’m also tempted to resurrect this name!

BIWI's right - when old threads are revived by trolls or spammers, we usually zap the posts completely to keep everything tidy, and then exclude the thread from the active list. But if the thread's in your TIO list it would still pop up.
