Erm.. no!

Can you look into this please. Pic attached. Never had this before, I was just scrolling through MN on my phone (Google phone, Chrome browser).

Obviously I clicked block.

Hi there @Thereinaminute . We'll take a look at this now. Can you tell us what actions you were taking when it appeared? ie had you clicked on a thread, started a new message, tried to reply or literally just scrolling?

Just scrolling. The WiFi has cut out so suspect it is that but it's an unusual message as other websites would not request a connection in this instance. Phone switched to mobile data and all appears normal. I am curious why Mumsnet wanted to connect at all.

Hi again @Thereinaminute . From what you’ve described, this is most likely being triggered by a video ad loading in the background. Dismissing it should resolve the issue and the site itself will continue to function normally.
If you start seeing it frequently or it becomes disruptive, please do report it again. We’re also looking at longer-term improvements to reduce the chances of this happening at all so thanks for your patience.
