Have you switched off the “old” Mumsnet app? I’ve been quietly using it on the sly since the upgrade a year or so ago.

Apart from not being able to vote, edit a post or quote a quote it was perfect.

But today I can’t get on it at all. Do I have to admit defeat and download the “new” app?

There is no way I can use the website site, it’s shockingly shit! And not heard good things about the app. Although to be fair I haven’t read anything recently about it.

Maybe this will be the breaking of a 22 year old habit!!!

The mobile website is fine? Way more functional than the app, anyway.

I don’t like to at all @FlappingAboutTheFuture too busy, too many ads, annoying mumsnet special threads, so much squashed into one page! :)

i don’t get any enjoyment from using it.

And I started on a huge PC many moons ago. I just really liked the “old” app!

Although agree being able to edit is a handy tool!!

Me too. I wondered why I couldn’t access the app today and saw there was an update. Everything looks different and the ads are ‘jumpy’ when they weren’t before. I guess it’s ‘welcome to the new!’ Annoying and frustrating but eventually it will feel familiar.

Hello @TheFireHorse we’ve now switched off the old app. You may have seen notices about this in the app over the past few weeks, but we’re sorry if this came as a surprise. Please do give the new app a try, and let us know if you have any questions or need a hand with anything.
