Hi why was this thread removed completely just after one poster had all her posts removed?

Just because one poster was out of order (and had posts deleted) didn't mean an interesting thread should go.

Twiglets1 · 02/02/2026 18:40

I didn't know people not liking what a thread is about is a valid reason for it to be deleted. And one person getting multiple posts deleted .... shouldn't that person be removed rather than the whole thread??

LilyMumsnet · 02/02/2026 20:25

Hi all,

We understand that having an entire thread removed can be frustrating and we appreciate that discussions like this can become heated, but we were having to make a very high number of deletions on the thread and felt it was no longer serving anyone to keep it open.

Twiglets1 · 02/02/2026 20:35

A very high number of deletions from one person though not from multiple posters 🤷🏼‍♀️

SharonEllis · 02/02/2026 20:57

This doesn't make sense @MNHQ this means someone can deliberately disrupt a thread and get it deleted even though other posters aren't breaking guidelines.

HappyFace2025 · 02/02/2026 22:52

I still don't get why one poster whose posts were deemed to be inappropriate/breaking MN rules, gets an interesting and pertinent thread removed. The posts removed were all that one person AFAIR.

MN didn't like the thread so decided to close it.
