What’s this? How can I stop it?

Is anyone else seeing this? The bottom half of the page blurs with a ‘continue reading’ button. It’s very intrusive!

If it does that to me, I'm leaving MN.

Presumably you're logged in? on a browser?

Good lord if mn are rolling out something else new that nobody wants or needs I think it will be the last straw for many.
Hopefully it's just a glitch.

I’m also getting the blue bar at the bottom “sticking” as I scroll.

iPad, safari browser. It can even happen just seconds apart. Repeatedly. It’s beyond frustrating.

And the page is stuttering too. Flickering.

I was coming on to ask this. Samsung phone, am logged in. Bloody irritating.

Hello @PrizedPickledPopcorn thanks very much for posting the screenshot. This isn't supposed to happen and we suspect it's due to an ad misbehaving. If anyone has any further screenshots, please share them here. In the meantime, we're looking into this now.

@BeckyAMumsnet these were the two screenshots I took when it first happened to me yesterday evening. The browser completely freezes, I think it then releases when the ad refreshes itself.

It does actually seem to happen every time I am scrolling past an ad.

It's not just on Mumsnet. My local paper (NE Evening Gazette) website has started doing it too. Asking us to prove we're human, perhaps?
