Show/Hide quote history

I appreciate this might not be something you can do and it's entirely due to laziness on my part but is there anyway that this could appear at the top of the quotes in a post instead of at the bottom? Sometimes I'll click it to read replies and realise it's just a bunfight or really, really long and want to skip to the next post, but I still have to scroll all the way down to do that. If it was at the top I could scroll up and collapse it.

If it's doable, would you be up for switching it around, please?

I have been wondering this too - sometimes the quote history is like War and Peace.

Morning @IAmAHomewardBounder and @LiveToTell. This is actually something we've been looking into... possibly someone else requested exactly the same thing. We're hopeful we might be able to do it and it's on the list but it's not as simple as you might hope, unfortunately so it probably won't be any time soon. Keep an eye out though and we'll post on Site Stuff once it's sorted.

Just adding another vote for this. It is annoying especially as when you get to the 4th quoted post it's about one word per line and nearly impossible to read anyway

Thanks, have completed. But in summary my feedback is that just duplicating the show/hide quote buttons at the top of the post not just at the bottom of all the quotes would be the best option rather than any more complex changes to the functionality

Thank you, I've filled in the survey. I like @DappledThings suggestion of duplicating the show/hide tab at the bottom and top of quotes, sounds simple in theory, appreciate the execution might be more complicated though.
