Trouble with letter K

It seems to have fixed itself now, but I was just posting on a thread, and whatever I typed in the reply box, I could not get a letter K to appear. I would have thought it was my keyboard, as I'm posting from a Windows PC on the desktop site on Chrome, but it worked fine in another window, and as you can see, it works normally now.

I wouldn't have thought anything of it, but I noticed a few days ago another poster had the same issue. It's not consistent as I can see most posts do not have this problem, but I thought I would put up a thread, in case people experience a similar thing.

My only thought is could it possibly be that the letter "K" is assigned as some kind of shortcut and it's meaning that it's being ignored as text input, in some very specific and rare circumstances?

I saw a poster the other day saying they couldn't get K to work on their post! Wonder if we saw the same post, unfortunately I cannot remember what the thread was.

I have the same problem! Weird, I thought it was a keyboard error at first but it's the same across devices.

Maybe Mumsnet is turning Portuguese? They only have a letter K for loanwords (kite, kayak, etc).

@JoMumsnet Weirdly, this is still happening, but only intermittently! I often have to copy and paste the letter "k" from someone's earlier post. Very odd!

Yes, me too. What's weird is that I can start a post and the letter K is working find (as here!), then it will suddenly not work... 🤯

Thanks for the updates, everyone. This is on our 'to fix' list. There are jobs that are a bit more urgent right now so it won't be immediate we're afraid but we will update when it's fixed.
