I am giving up on MN because I cannot ever find anything

I have moaned about this before but nothing has been done!

If I search for my posts I can't click on the post and be taken to it so I can start reading from there
If someone comments on my post and I get a notification I can't click to their reply or my post from the notification
It is impossible to find anything you have posted even if you click on I'm on/Bookmarke

About 6 months ago I asked about this and was told it was being fixed but it's still the same.

I have had enough of endless scrolling through posts and so I think unless you can fix this soon I will give up. 😟

In fairness, the search function is hideously bad, and I don’t tend to complain to Mumsnet. It’s easier to do a Google search to find what you want.

Not a problem I've ever had are you using bookmarks and the notifications tab or the link on the email

Can we check if you're using the search bar at the top of the site, or advanced search here: https://www.mumsnet.com/search/advanced

We imagine you're using the correct one but want to double check first.

@LilyMumsnet It is the same whether I use the advanced search, or click through from a notification. It takes me to some random place in the thread, not my post or the post in which someone has replied to me or quoted me.

@LilyMumsnet So this am I got a notification that someone had replied to a post. I click on it and it takes me to the last page of the thread not to my post.

I’ve been telling them for nearly a year that the feature where it used to take you back to the last message you’d read no longer works. No inclination to sort it and it’s still not working.

Yes I have started a thread before they said it was being fixed soon, this was a long time ago. It seems worse now though

So MNHQ, can you please sort this? Happy to help with testing (I work in software) if you can work on it? It really makes the side very un user friendly indeed.

yeah i’ve found that too. the email has a link to someone’s reply to somethimg ive posted but it doesnt take me to it only to the thread.

same here, and with bookmarked /threads I'm on- impossible to find your own post. Iphone app.

Ya, the UX is bad.

There's nowhere else like it though.
