Getting stalked by an advert despite constantly closing it

Is there any way to make it go away? It’s the first or second advert I see on every thread, I close it and report it each time but it just comes back repeatedly. At one point it opened again right after I closed it. It will be there three times on each page (set to 100 posts).

It sounds amusing but it’s really stressing me out! On other websites preferences for ads seem to work?

(Not that it’s really relevant but it’s the snotty nose ad, it makes me feel sick)

Hi @Moltenpink. We think we know the ad you mean. We'll take a look and see if we can make sure it's behaving as it should, but it looks like it's only here for the rest of today actually anyway, so shouldn't be a problem going forward. We will pass on your feedback about the image too.

Is this the Stanstead airport one that keeps popping up in a new tab?

This one drives me nuts. On the mobile site and it takes over the whole screen. As soon as I close it, it pops back up again!
