Look Up and Notifications

Can you please being these functions back into the App. Fed up of reading things that sometimes only Mumsnetters understand and I have no idea what they mean. And the lack of notifications is just infuriating.

My notifications are top right on android? Have you maybe turned them off?

We're afraid notifications don't exist in the app like they do on web in that there's no page where all of your notifications exist and you can click through to threads from them. You can only do this from your browser. You can, however, receive push notifications from the app each time someone posts on a thread you're watching and when you're mentioned on a thread. You can toggle this on and off from within the app settings, but you also need to have push notifications enabled in your device settings.

Regarding 'Look up', did you mean the search facility? That is available in the app. You just need to select the search icon in the top left hand side of the screen in the header. Or did you mean actually searching within a thread, like when you're in your browser you can search for specific words on the page? That's not something we offer unfortunately, and isn't likely to be something we can add to the app, but let us know if that's what you meant anyway.
