Hide quote history

Currently the option to “hide quote history” if you’ve expanded it deliberately or by accident is at the very bottom of said quote, that sometimes means scrolling and scrolling through this (pic showing what I mean, a quote I’ve actually scrolled through this morning) where it’s so deep the quoted text at the bottom isnt even showing or if they are further up it’s like
t
h
i
s

by the time you scroll down and down it’s almost not worth hiding as you’re onto the next post, can the hide quote history be moved to the top instead of at the bottom, it would be far more useful and user friendly ?

thank you

Good idea

SilverPink · 16/12/2025 09:48

Agree with this!

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 16/12/2025 09:50

Agree!

JaneJeffer · 16/12/2025 13:01

Nested quotes in that format are pointless anyway.

LiveToTell · 16/12/2025 19:20

Definitely agree!

Springonionsoup · 17/12/2025 10:25

Just bumping this to see if it’s possible or reduce the amount of quotes that can be nested, go two back and then a link to the post after those two? The way they work now is a pain.

Bumping now it’s the new year, again can the hide quote be moved to the top and or the amount of quotes inside quotes be reduced, or both! as like the pic this is a bit ridiculous when it’s just a vertical line of letters or just the grey lines

I suggested this a while back. No response.

Edited

The lack of response is frustrating, I’m not sure why the reluctance, one letter by letter vertical lines or just vertical lines is a bizarre “feature” to want to keep
