Same. So annoying.

ClawsandEffect · 29/11/2025 01:07

Yup, and the screen defaulting to landscape.

And the site has only just stopped freezing the whole page to the massive amounts of ads and video ads.

It's ONLY ever Mumsnet that does this. It's such a massive site. Why can't they get it right FGS?

soupyspoon · 29/11/2025 07:26

Hello @soupyspoon thanks for letting us know. Can we check if this is the CoOp ad causing the issue?

Babbit · 29/11/2025 13:24

Yes it is for me.

Same here. I’ve been on MN for 10 years and am beginning to find it unusable due to the ads.

I'm finding that when the website loads on the front page, the links works until the ads appear (for me, a Monsoon ad). I have to quickly click on a link before the ads appear, lest all the links stop working and I cannot navigate anywhere.

I tried using a different browser and had the same problem.

Yes it appears so

It actually feels like theres something a bit sneaky going on here, because am I right that MN would get paid by the company with ads with them based on the number of people clicking through to the website, in my case the coop

So it would suit MN for this to be happening because I must have opened the coop funeral care website about 10 times today, so MN is able to say that they generate a lot of traffic to the coop site.

Even though I didnt actually want to look a their site and have no intention of doing so.
