Hidden posts keep reappearing in ‘I’m on’

This is the second time that I’ve gone on ‘I’m on’ and found that all my hidden posts have reappeared in there. Very annoying to have to get rid twice.

Hi there @PersephoneParlormaid. Can we ask what device and browser you're using?

HebeMumsnet · 03/11/2025 20:07

While we have your ear @PersephoneParlormaid, we've had trouble replicating this issue and just had a few queries:

  • Are you using the same account at all times? Although we only allow users to have one account at a time, we do know that some users have multiple accounts so we just want to check that this is not the case.
  • Is it every thread that you hide or only some that come back to your 'i'm on' list?
  • Have you clicked 'hide' from active here: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/active when you were logged out? There is a known bug which we are working to fix where users can select 'hide' directly from active when they are logged out, and it seems like the thread has been hidden but it hasn't, because we only hide threads for users who are logged in.

I’ve been unwatching, not hiding, to prevent notifications.
it’s not happening all the time, just occasionally

Hi again @PersephoneParlormaid.

So the thread would still show on your 'I'm on' list if you have unwatched the thread. If you have unwatched, it shouldn't show in your 'I'm watching' list.

If you've posted on the thread and then chosen to unwatch the thread, the thread would still show in your 'I'm on' list. You can remove the thread from your 'I'm on' list by clicking the menu and then selecting 'remove'.

Hope that helps. Let us know if any more problems.

PersephoneParlormaid · 05/11/2025 10:06

So I have to remove it twice ?
