No one is dealing with spam tonight

I have a lot of respect for the night watch and I know they’re in a really tough position doing a job to keep us all safe. I really don’t think it’s fair to blame them. There is nobody sorting out spam tonight which will happen when you depend on volunteers. Looking through the night watch forum it is clear many threads have gone unanswered lately. Maybe someone is ill or on holiday. I have reported several threads of very obvious spam both to MNHQ and three reports to the night watch on two threads. It’s been left to stand and the spammers are being left to just comment on the site everywhere they feel like. The AI spam filter has really failed tonight. What is MNHQ doing about this?

Thanks so much for flagging this and for your patience - and also a big thank you to @NiteWotchaNightwatch for stepping in and clearing things up. We’re sorry for the delay in getting the spam removed.

We do have spam filters in place to help catch this sort of thing automatically, but they’re not perfect, and sometimes a few slip through. We’re constantly reviewing and updating these systems to improve how they perform.
