Overkill for homeschooling ads

Do we really need this many ads for the same thing that’s irrelevant to a lot of us anyway?

promoting homeschooling like this on a website like Mumsnet seems quite irresponsible to me but that’s another issue.

can you remove them please? I don’t care about there being ads but this many of the same thing is nothing short of ridiculous. I understand that as a “freeloader”, as Justine delightfully branded those of us who won’t pay for Premium, I have to basically deal with whatever you throw at me, but I am not ever going to purchase something from this app so you might as well at least target me with better ones…!!

Er, excuse me? There are home educators on here. Sorry you don't agree with it (irresponsible 🙄) but your prejudice can't wish us out of existence. Most ads will be irrelevant to a lot of people, I don't think that's grounds for objecting to it. You just don't like home educators.

What I find annoying is how they appear to pose a question but when you click on the link it takes you to something completely different. Something like "why haven't you considered homeschooling?" which actually leads to something selling resources/services.

I'm sick of the Back to School shopping ones. They've been back ages!

Oh, grow up.

Or, as I believe they say round these parts: ODFOD.

I'm tired of the back to school ones now, it's nearly half term.

All advertisements are annoying and I honestly don’t understand why anyone would click on any of them.

Like the OP I am NEVER, not ever, never going to buy from an advert on here, and I would have thought most people would be the same. But it must work because it’s a huge industry.

It doesn’t bother me what they’re promoting because I don’t look at them. Just like YouTube and indeed tv. I mute, skip and scroll past utterly oblivious.

I agree - I clicked (for the first time) because it was posed as a question and I thought there would be some sort of discussion involved (with someone selling something as part of it) and I thought the topic would be interesting. Never clicking on anything matked ad on here again.
