A dental topic?

Could we have a dental chat within the health topic please? The same questions and dilemmas are being posted over and over and it might be an idea to have a place to keep them all together. Thanks

Am I right in thinking that when you are on the 'Health' topic, you are mainly interested in dental threads?

If you could filter by these threads, would that be useful or not useful?

Are there any other topics that you have this problem on?

I don’t have a problem. I’m a dentist and occasionally will comment on posts usually to help reassure individuals ( but mostly to sign post them in the right direction of where to get help if necessary.)
I’ve noticed there are many more posts popping up in recent years. Folk asking about whitening, wisdom teeth, orthodontics etc etc ( or just having a moan!)
under the Health topic board there are other categories such as Addiction support, alcohol support, mental health, diabetes, etc but there isn’t a dedicated area to post about dental concerns. They are scattered all over the place- AIBU, chat, general health….
my thought was that dentistry is really important and it might be worth a dedicated board for folk to post about their issues.
please note it wouldn’t be mine, or any other dentist’s intention to offer unsolicited advice

Meanwhile, if you wanted to find all the threads about Dentists, we've got a page somewhere else on site that you can use to see these threads. Just wanted to add that I think thats a great idea to have a separate topic, I posted a dental health post this week and took a really long time working out where to put it. Went for general health in the end, but it isnt, it's specifically dental.

Went to check, I didn't, I went for chat! Had no idea where to post, a dental health topic would really help.

I would like to thank you for being a dentist. You are so important in people's lived. I think some good dentists don't realise how mch they are appreciated.
