Has anyone else been getting this today (and last night too.) ?

Several times since yesterday evening, I have had 'error 1015, mumsnet has banned you temporarily from accessing this website, you are being rate limited.'

When this comes up, I can't post again for about 15 minutes, and when I first saw it, I thought I'd been banned! 😱

What's going on? HAAAALP! 😬

(I don't think I have been posting a lot, or spamming the boards.)

It sounds like you might have tried to post a couple of posts in quick succession?

This may have triggered the spam filter.

Oh, do you think it might have been that @PennySweeet ?

Possibly.

I've seen a couple of threads before where fast typists on laptops have had the same problem!

@mnhq any idea why this is happening? 😃 Is @PennySweeet correct?

Afternoon @LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway.

Yes, it sounds like that's what's happened. Our system will sometimes temporarily freeze your ability to post if you've posted several times in quick succession. It's meant to stop spammers who tend to post in that way, so congratulations on your supersonic typing speed! Sorry for the break in service though.

LOL, thanks for answering @HebeMumsnet 😆

I will bear that in mind from now on, and try to be less supersonic!' ✈

I did panic when I saw 'you have been banned by Mumsnet!' I was like 😱 Then I noticed it said 'temporarily,' and noticed I was being rate limited!

With how you and @PennySweeet have explained it, it make sense now.

Thanks again. 😘
