Why do I have to keep logging in

As per the title. I'm on an android phone, 25 posts a page

It’s driving me mad, iPad 100 posts per page.
It used to be that the message box wasn’t at the end of posts unless you were logged in. Now the message box is there, I type something, but then find I have to log in and the message I’ve just typed out has often vanished! It’s very frustrating.
