Hidden messages/deleted post - moderation messages

It is still baffling to me that someone who has a post removed doesn't get an automatic message or email saying this. And automatically, in the case of, say, one or two problematic phrases, the chance to edit and repost.

I guess this does happen but on the initative of the poster, if they find out their post has been deleted.

Surely it is not beyond the MN devs to, especially when a post is reported, to have the holding message reflect the reason it was reported/hidden/deleted? and for the user who made the post to be notified?

It would be good to get some form of notification but for those of us with emails switched off it might be more helpful to get a PM.

I'll be honest - I have no idea if any of my posts get deleted (I hope not!! 😱) as it's rare for me to go back to it. Once I post I tend to wait an hour or two for the conversation to move on before clicking off the tab so if I go back onto the thread I'm nowhere near my post iyswim.
