Site so slow this week 🐌

Is it just me or is the site soooo slow this week 🐌, especially loading longer threads it takes 20 seconds or so to load? Doesn't sound a lot but it is very noticeable. I know I can change to only load so many posts and then page through them which is probably slower doing the paging, I like scrolling...

Consistently slow on both desktop (chrome), ipad (safari) and only been the last week.

Yes! Driving me bonkers. Thought it was my phone. Slightly better on Google rather than Safari. It’s like it’s sticky when I scroll .

The app on my I pad is TOTALLY up useable. The banner adds are stalling it every few seconds. Please sort it out! It’s driving me mad!!!!

The web browser is a little better because the ads are to one side but it’s still quite jerky. On the app the banner ads in the middle of the discussions are the ones that seem to crash and stall it.

It's a little better today, but still noticeably slow, instead or 20s or so, it is 15s or so for larger threads.

Had to switch to Google today as Safari route is slow and sticky again.

It's terrible tonight, flashback to slooow loading using dial-up! However my Wi-Fi speeds and other sites are just fine.

The app on my iPad is very sticky this week. Type something in and it’s taking several seconds to catch up, very frustrating. Thought it might just be my iPad but everything else is working fine. I assume it’s the ads.

Same with the
app on my iPhone.

Using via browser on iPhone is nearly unusable at times. So so slow. Been like this for weeks but even worse this weekend.

Another one saying it’s virtually unusable, and it’s started making my phone too hot to hold again, plus if I leave the tab open it slows down/stalls everything else, including other apps on my phone. I’m using an iPhone 13, the iOS is the latest version and accessing the site through safari- the app is completely unusable for me. It’s especially bad while the video ads are loading; the screen completely freezes until it’s properly loaded and then once it starts playing you can scroll again. Makes no difference how many posts are on the thread, nor how many posts are displayed.

Assuming they show and upload before I have to put my phone down to cool off and close the tab, here’s some screenshots I managed to get. The one with the black banner is when it tries to load, which takes at least 30 seconds to 1minute and everything completely freezes including trying to close the app, and the second is when the ad has loaded and is playing when things work again.

Please fix it!

I am using Chrome browser on Android, and most of the time I cannot click on anything on the Mumsnet website today. It is very sticky.

yes i am experiencing similar, on the app. Across three different ios devices. All get hot when i use the app, and stick when typing.

This. At least half the time it’s impossible to load the site. Or any site you try and open after MN tbh.

There was a thread on site stuff weeks ago but it seems they are having issues fixing this.
