Removing a thread from TIO and notifications too

If I remove a thread from TIO, is there any way that you can stop notifications that someone has commented or quoted me on said thread?

If I have it removed from TIO it’s because I’m no longer interested in reading/posting on it, but if I get a notification it pushes me back to the thread, which I don’t want. If I don’t deal with the notification I end up left with that red dot telling me I have a notification! (I don’t like to leave them ‘unread’)

Can’t you just hit “unwatch”? That’s what I do and I stop getting any notifications.

You can also hit 'mark all as read' in notifications without going to the thread

They’re not threads I’m watching - they’re threads I’m on, which is different.

Yes I can - but I still have to go into notifications to do that!

Oh sorry I assumed when you said it pushes you back to the thread I thought you meant you actually went to the thread in question to clear the notif.

It still seems to work for me. After I add something to a thread, the toggle “flips” a d o can switch it back to unwatch it. Unless, I’ve just done it after others stopped posting anyway.

Hi @BIWI . What you need to do is go into your 'Threads I'm On' then on the thread you no longer want notifications on, hit the three blue dots top right and click 'Unwatch'. Slightly confusing but nothing to do with 'Threads I'm Watching'. Hope that makes sense. You then shouldn't get any more notifications for that thread.

Hmm. Except @HebeMumsnet when I click on the 3 dots I get a ‘watch’ option, not an ‘unwatch’ option
