Huge advertisements on I pad blocking screen

I am using an I pad and google chrome.
Huge adds appearing .. take up hole screen. And stop me scrolling down.
Have to close browser in order to exit adds .
? Anyone else

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please can you tell us a bit about the ads you're seeing? If you can take a screenshot that would be really helpful. There are a couple of other threads where people have mentioned specific (fake virus) pop-ups but we're not sure if you're seeing a different type of ad.

If you can also let us know which version of the site you're using, and which threads/topics you're in when the ads pop up, we'll be able to look into this.

They are adds weight loss drugs.
i will try attach an image.
It’s now impossible to use site as happening every 1-2 minutes.
i am in NZ if that helps.

I'm getting this too, I'm on a Samsung tablet, on chrome and the ads are for gourmet cat food, thanks.

Hi there @LunaTheCat . Thanks for the screenshot; that's really helpful. If you see it again could you possibly click on the ad and then send us the url for the ad itself? That will help us track it down more quickly.

@LunaTheCat same and it is frustrating. Mine tend to be for a moisturiser, I can't remember which company, but the ad is predominantly pink. Maybe L'Oréal? I have to refresh the page which usually gets rid of it but sometimes it comes back straight away. When it happens again I'll see if I can screenshot it

I'm getting this too, only with some sort of collection of desks that it would appear I have to buy in order to be able to view more of the thread I'm trying to read. I have to exit to get rid of it, been like this for a week or more.

Now the ad appears to show houses... No idea what it's advertising, but I've clicked on nothing for it to appear. It renders MN unusable...

I have an Amazon ad that keeps sliding over from the right side of the screen, roughly every four minutes or so. Using Chrome on an iPad (all most current software) and it’s been happening when scrolling through Active. Blocks virtually everything and the only way out is either to refresh or click on it and get transported to Amazon.

Ironically have just switched from using Safari because mn kept freezing everything (including any other tabs I had open) about every thirty minutes!
